I’ve been looking after people since I was 11 years old with a CB radio in Blackburn. At raves I was the water boy. On stage I made sure nobody fell off a barstool. In 25 years of self-medication I took my own notes. Now I’m legal and the notes have a purpose.
The cannabis didn’t make me a carer. The caring was always there. The cannabis just made it sustainable. Made the performing possible. Made the hypnosis sharper. Made the music make sense at 4am in Lakota when the whole room was breathing together.
Do no harm. Take no shit. Look after your subjects as though they were small children who need you to protect them.
That’s from the hypnosis book. Wrote it in 2014. Still true. Applies to cannabis education, to rave communities, to prescription pathways, to every single person who messages me saying “I’ve been doing this for years and I feel like a criminal.”
